Our reference to GrandStrand is a region of approximately 60 plus miles of crescent beaches along the north east coast of South
Carolina.
The GrandStrand is made up of many communities including: Little River, at the South Carolina border in the north;
Cherry Grove; North Myrtle Beach; Loris; Conway; Myrtle Beach; Surfside Beach; Garden City, Murrells Inlet; down to
Georgetown, South Carolina. Many refer to the GrandStrand area as Myrtle Beach. The city of Myrtle Beach is in the center of the
GrandStrand and was named after the wax myrtle, a shrub that grows abundantly in the area.
RTSC3 is the GrandStrand Chapter of Rolling Thunder®, Inc.
THE MISSION OF ROLLING THUNDER®, INC. IS TO PUBLICIZE THE POW-MIA ISSUE: TO
EDUCATE THE PUBLIC THAT MANY AMERICAN PRISONERS OF WAR WERE LEFT
BEHIND AFTER ALL PREVIOUS WARS AND TO HELP CORRECT THE PAST AND TO
PROTECT FUTURE VETERANS FROM BEING LEFT BEHIND SHOULD THEY BECOME
PRISONERS OF WAR-MISSING IN ACTION. WE ARE ALSO COMMITTED TO HELPING
AMERICAN VETERANS FROM ALL WARS.

RTSC3 is made up of a diverse group of local residents committed to the issues of
POW/MIA and Veteran Affairs. This chapter holds monthly meetings. Funding for
RTSC3 is provided through
membership dues, raffles, fund-raising events, sales of
RTSC3 merchandise
, Sponsors, Donations and in-kind Contributions. RTSC3 is a
non-profit organization. The GrandStrand Chapter raises funds to support our
mission  in helping Local and National Veteran and POW/MIA organizations.
We support our Veterans Past, Present and Future!
